Chris first started triathlon over 20 years ago racing for the GB Junior Team between 1995 and 1998. The sport has evolved significantly since those early years, and Chris has enjoyed developing himself alongside the fast pace of development.  Read more >>


Phil Murhpy triathlonPHIL MURPHY

Coming to triathlon from a strong cycling background, Phil found early success in the sport qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii at his first attempt over the distance. He has since gone on to have more success over all distances from sprint to long course triathlon.  Read more >>


Beth Hughes triathlonBETH HUGHES

Beth is a BTF level 2 qualified coach and holds a Sports Science degree.  A keen sportswoman her whole life she discovered triathlon in her 30’s and this was her first foray into endurance sport.  She has seen a rapid improvement with multiple GB Age Group qualifications at both Sprint and Olympic distance.   Read more >>


Claire Sutcliffe triathlon coachCLAIRE SUTCLIFFE

Claire is a BTF Level 3 qualified coach, L3 Personal Trainer and a Sports Massage Therapist and has been coaching Triathlon since 2009. Claire is a regular coach for Chester Triathlon Club and can often be found pool side at technique swim and also freezing her butt off on the side of the running track on a Wednesday night!  Read more >>



Andy is a BTF Level 2 qualified Triathlon coach, and has, over the last 4 years become a regular coach at Chester Triathlon Club across all three disciplines.   Andy is a strong swim coach having spent most of his time poolside at Chester’s sessions, but his real passion is to get on his bike and spend time with athletes wanting to develop their cycling.  Read more >>



Martin started in triathlon 13 years ago from a background of rugby so it was quite a change in direction! With various wins and successes under his belt, his pro triathlon career was cut short by a bike accident that saw him end up in hospital. Since then he has moved his focus onto helping others achieve their goals through the knowledge that he has gained over many years of training and racing.  Read more >>


Nick is based in Warrington, Cheshire, a fantastic location to train and live, with a strong base of North West athletes in the area it’s certainly good for training with like-minded athletes.  He has competed in the sport for over 17 years having completed 18 Ironman races all over the world.  Read more >>



Based in South Devon, Henry has recently become an Ironman Pro Athlete after a string of top-level results over a range of distances.
