Chris first started triathlon over 20 years ago racing for the GB Junior Team between 1995 and 1998. The sport has evolved significantly since those early years, and Chris has enjoyed developing himself alongside the fast pace of development.  Read more >>

PHIL MURPHY – Head Coach

Coming to triathlon from a strong cycling background, Phil found early success in the sport qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii at his first attempt over the distance. He has since gone on to have more success over all distances from sprint to long course triathlon.  Read more >>



Beth is a BTF level 2 qualified coach and holds a Sports Science degree.  A keen sportswoman her whole life she discovered triathlon in her 30’s and this was her first foray into endurance sport.  She has seen a rapid improvement with multiple GB Age Group qualifications at both Sprint and Olympic distance.   Read more >>



Claire is a BTF Level 3 qualified coach, L3 Personal Trainer and a Sports Massage Therapist and has been coaching Triathlon since 2009. Claire is a regular coach for Chester Triathlon Club and can often be found pool side at technique swim and also freezing her butt off on the side of the running track on a Wednesday night!  Read more >>



Andy is an IRONMAN Certified Coach and a BTF Level 2 qualified triathlon coach. He coaches at Chester Triathlon Club and has a strong swim coaching background in technique and swim analysis.  Andy has been racing triathlon since 2006 and coaching since 2012 after deciding he wanted to use his own experience of going from a non-endurance background to competing at all levels in the sport, to helping others achieve their goals.  Read more >>



Nick is based in Warrington, Cheshire, a fantastic location to train and live, with a strong base of North West athletes in the area it’s certainly good for training with like-minded athletes.  He has competed in the sport for over 17 years having completed 18 Ironman races all over the world.  Read more >>



Based in South Devon, Henry has recently become an Ironman Pro Athlete after a string of top-level results over a range of distances. Coming to triathlon from a strong background in all three sports as a junior athlete, he combines discipline specific knowledge with multisport insight.  Read more >>



Rob has a wealth of multi-sport coaching experience, working with those first getting into sport all the way through to athletes competing at world championship level. With expertise in coaching youth athletes, Rob takes a long term approach to athlete development.   Read more >>



Kate has combined her love of racing & travel and has competed in triathlon & adventure races all over the world. She is a British triathlon Level 2, IRONMAN & Training Peaks certified coach and has experience coaching groups & helping athletes to start lines all over Europe.  Read more >>


ZOE MCLENNAN (Run coach)

Zoe is our specific run coach helping runners of all levels.  Her strengths are in endurance running racing at half, full and ultra marathon distances on both road and off road.  Zoe enjoys working with new runners who are just finding their feet in the sport through to seasoned runner looking to better their pb times and find their true potential. Gavin has been coaching triathlon now for over 16 years and has a level 3 British Triathlon coaching qualification.  He has been coaching triathletes of all abilities from beginners to world age group qualifiers in all distances.  Gavin has over 4000 hrs of 1-1 swim coaching with video analysis in an endless pool as well as in the swimming pool. He is also qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist. Read more >>
