I am pretty new to triathlon only having done my first race in June 2015 which was a supersprint but I am hooked. My plans are to move to sprint and Olympic distance next year and then who knows after that! My favourite race has been Rhyl sprint tri as it was a great race, well organised with a fantastic atmosphere (and I had a pretty good result too of fastest male and 2nd overall!).
I decided to take up triathlon as a hobby as getting old, fat and useless seemed to be looming upon me! But often as it does, a hobby becomes more of an obsession and like many triathletes I am totally hooked on the sport. I joined TTT in June 2015 when I decided that I wanted some help with my training.
Having a coach has given me the motivation to train when usually at times it would be easy to miss a session due to work or kids or weather! Structured training sessions have improved my fitness and performance and avoided injury. The swim is my weakest discipline but with one to one sessions and regular discussions and encouragement I am already seeing an improvement.
